About the Sant check valves range
Concept Engineers is an authorised Sant distributor. This page lists every Sant check valve we carry — 54 families covering 10 mm to 400 mm, in 7 body materials.
Installation orientation decides more than it should. A valve built for a horizontal line will not necessarily seat correctly stood on end, and a vertical-only design fitted horizontally can hang open under its own disc weight — worth checking against the line's actual run before ordering on bore alone.
The Sant range here is supplied in gunmetal to IS 318 LTB-2 for potable and general water service, cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty, bronze for water and low-pressure steam and carbon steel WCB for steam and higher pressures, and 3 more. What the line carries, and how hot it runs, decide the body. Those two facts narrow the choice before bore, class or budget are considered at all.
Bores available are 10–25 mm, 32–50 mm, 65–100 mm, 125–200 mm and 250–400 mm. Above roughly 50 mm the pattern shifts to flanged cast bodies, and flange drilling, weight and lifting become part of the order rather than an afterthought.
The range is supplied with Flanged, Screwed BSP (parallel) and Socket weld ends. Which one is right is a question about the line, not about the valve, and it is the detail most often left off an enquiry.
Pressure classes cover PN 16, PN 25, PN 40 and PN 20. The class is a rating on the body, not a statement about the line: a valve is selected on the pressure and temperature it will actually see in service.
Where an inspection certificate or an IBR form is required, say so with the enquiry — it is arranged with the manufacturer at order stage and cannot be added to a valve already despatched.
An enquiry for check valves is quickest to price when it states the line's orientation and whether the pump can reverse against a static head as well as the sizes and quantities. Without it we have to come back and ask, which adds a day to the quotation for no reason.
