Every Sant safety and relief valve we supply is listed on this page: 8 families spanning 8 mm to 50 mm, in 3 body materials.

A safety valve is selected on set pressure and discharge capacity, not on the bore of the line it sits in. The orifice designation determines what the valve can pass at the accumulation allowed, which is why two valves at the same nominal size can carry different orifices and different prices.

The Sant range here is supplied in bronze for water and low-pressure steam, gunmetal to IS 318 LTB-2 for potable and general water service and cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty. The medium chooses the material. Cost only breaks a tie between two bodies that both suit the duty, and a body that fails on temperature is not cheaper for having cost less.

The range covers 8–25 mm and 32–50 mm. That span is not one design scaled up — the small end is screwed copper alloy, the large end is flanged and cast, and the break between them is where weight and handling start to matter.

The range is supplied with Screwed BSP (parallel) and Flanged ends. Which one is right is a question about the line, not about the valve, and it is the detail most often left off an enquiry.

Where an inspection certificate or an IBR form is required, say so with the enquiry — it is arranged with the manufacturer at order stage and cannot be added to a valve already despatched.

To quote safety and relief valves properly we need the set pressure and the capacity to be discharged, not just the line size in addition to sizes and quantities. Everything else on the enquiry can be inferred; that cannot.
