About the Sant balancing valves range
This is the full Sant balancing valve range we are authorised to supply — 3 families, 20 mm to 600 mm, across 3 body materials.
A balanced circuit is one where every branch gets its design flow, not just the branch nearest the pump. Valve authority and the test points are what make that measurable on site rather than assumed on a drawing.
The Sant range here is supplied in cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty, forged brass on small-bore service lines and ductile iron to IS 1865 where the line sees shock, vibration or a buried, long-service duty. Getting the material right is the part of the specification that cannot be corrected on site. The medium and the working temperature settle it; the size does not enter into it.
Bores available are 20–25 mm, 32–50 mm, 65–100 mm, 125–200 mm and 250–600 mm. Above roughly 50 mm the pattern shifts to flanged cast bodies, and flange drilling, weight and lifting become part of the order rather than an afterthought.
Works test certificates and material certificates can be supplied with the consignment where the standard calls for them, but they have to be asked for at the time of order rather than afterwards.
