About the Sant water meters range
Concept Engineers is an authorised Sant distributor. This page lists every Sant water meter we carry — 10 families covering 15 mm to 300 mm, in 2 body materials.
A meter is specified against its flow curve. The starting flow and the transitional flow matter more than the maximum, because a building service spends most of its life near the bottom of the range rather than the top.
The Sant range here is supplied in cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty and forged brass on small-bore service lines. The medium chooses the material. Cost only breaks a tie between two bodies that both suit the duty, and a body that fails on temperature is not cheaper for having cost less.
The range covers 15–25 mm, 32–50 mm, 65–100 mm, 125–200 mm and 250–300 mm. That span is not one design scaled up — the small end is screwed copper alloy, the large end is flanged and cast, and the break between them is where weight and handling start to matter.
The range is supplied with Flanged and Screwed BSP (parallel) ends. Which one is right is a question about the line, not about the valve, and it is the detail most often left off an enquiry.
Works test certificates and material certificates can be supplied with the consignment where the standard calls for them, but they have to be asked for at the time of order rather than afterwards.
