About the Leader float valves range
Concept Engineers is an authorised Leader distributor. This page lists every Leader float valve we carry — 4 families covering 15 mm to 300 mm, in 3 body materials.
The range is selected on duty first and size second. Medium, working pressure and temperature between them decide the material and the class; the bore only decides which line it fits.
The Leader range here is supplied in cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty and forged brass on small-bore service lines. What the line carries, and how hot it runs, decide the body. Those two facts narrow the choice before bore, class or budget are considered at all.
The range covers 15–25 mm, 32–50 mm, 65–100 mm, 125–200 mm and 250–300 mm. That span is not one design scaled up — the small end is screwed copper alloy, the large end is flanged and cast, and the break between them is where weight and handling start to matter.
End connections run to Screwed BSP (parallel) and Flanged. The connection has to be settled against the mating pipework before a size is ordered — a flanged valve and a screwed one are not interchangeable on an installed line.
Pressure classes cover PN 10 and Class 125. The class is a rating on the body, not a statement about the line: a valve is selected on the pressure and temperature it will actually see in service.
Works test certificates and material certificates can be supplied with the consignment where the standard calls for them, but they have to be asked for at the time of order rather than afterwards.
An enquiry for float valves is quickest to price when it states the medium, the working pressure and the temperature as well as the sizes and quantities. Without it we have to come back and ask, which adds a day to the quotation for no reason.
