About the Veeson check valves range

Cracking pressure — the minimum upstream pressure needed to lift the disc off its seat at all — is printed on very few data sheets but decides whether a check valve will actually open on a low-head line; a valve sized correctly for pipe diameter can still sit shut on a pump that never generates enough head to crack it.
The Veeson range here is supplied in cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty, ductile iron to IS 1865 where the line sees shock, vibration or a buried, long-service duty and carbon steel WCB for steam and higher pressures. Material is decided by the medium and the temperature before it is decided by price: a body that suits cold water will not necessarily suit the same line carrying steam.
Sizes run across 15–25 mm, 32–50 mm, 65–100 mm, 125–200 mm and 250–300 mm. Construction usually changes with the size rather than continuing unbroken: small bores are screwed and made in a copper alloy, while the larger end of the range is flanged and cast.
Ends available are Wafer, Flanged and Screwed BSP (parallel). This is worth confirming against the pipework drawing rather than assumed: changing a valve's end connection after delivery means changing the pipework.
This range is manufactured to IS 5312. Where a tender names a standard, quoting it back on the enquiry is what stops an approved substitution being queried later.
Test certificates are available against the order where the product carries them. It is worth confirming the requirement before the order is placed rather than at delivery.
Send the line's orientation and whether the pump can reverse against a static head with the schedule when you enquire about check valves. Sizes and quantities alone leave the one question open that decides which valve is actually correct.
