Veeson’s cast Iron Horizontal Lift Check Valve (PN-16) is supplied in 15 mm to 150 mm. Check valves stop reverse flow without any external operation — line pressure alone opens and closes them. On a pump discharge they prevent backspin and the water hammer that follows an abrupt stop. The IS 210 cast iron body is the economical choice at larger bores. It suits steady water service but not lines that see mechanical shock. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
