About the DRP check valves range

Every DRP check valve we supply is listed on this page: 16 families spanning 8 mm to 100 mm, in 3 body materials.

A wafer-body check valve has no end connection of its own — it is clamped between two flanges by the line's own bolts, which means its 'flanged' rating describes what it fits between, not a set of flange faces cast onto the valve.

The DRP range here is supplied in gunmetal to IS 318 LTB-2 for potable and general water service, bronze for water and low-pressure steam and forged brass on small-bore service lines. Material is decided by the medium and the temperature before it is decided by price: a body that suits cold water will not necessarily suit the same line carrying steam.

Sizes run across 8–25 mm, 32–50 mm and 65–100 mm. Construction usually changes with the size rather than continuing unbroken: small bores are screwed and made in a copper alloy, while the larger end of the range is flanged and cast.

You can have Screwed BSP (parallel) and Flanged ends on this range. Matching the connection to what is already installed is the difference between a valve that is fitted in an afternoon and one that waits for a fabricator.

The applicable standards here are IS 778. A specification that names one is asking for a specific construction, not a general quality level.

Where an inspection certificate or an IBR form is required, say so with the enquiry — it is arranged with the manufacturer at order stage and cannot be added to a valve already despatched.

When you send an enquiry for check valves, include the line's orientation and whether the pump can reverse against a static head alongside the sizes and quantities. It is the detail that most often has to be chased before a quotation can be priced, and supplying it up front saves a round trip.
