About the DRP Y-strainers range
Every DRP Y-strainer we supply is listed on this page: 3 families spanning 15 mm to 100 mm, in 2 body materials.
A Y-strainer built in cast steel rather than cast iron is not simply a stronger casting — it is what the higher pressure classes require, and specifying cast iron against a PN-40 line is a mismatch a strainer's low profile makes easy to miss on a drawing.
The DRP range here is supplied in forged brass on small-bore service lines and bronze for water and low-pressure steam. The medium chooses the material. Cost only breaks a tie between two bodies that both suit the duty, and a body that fails on temperature is not cheaper for having cost less.
The range covers 15–25 mm, 32–50 mm and 65–100 mm. That span is not one design scaled up — the small end is screwed copper alloy, the large end is flanged and cast, and the break between them is where weight and handling start to matter.
Where an inspection certificate or an IBR form is required, say so with the enquiry — it is arranged with the manufacturer at order stage and cannot be added to a valve already despatched.
To quote Y-strainers properly we need the perforation or mesh required, and what the screen is protecting in addition to sizes and quantities. Everything else on the enquiry can be inferred; that cannot.
