About the Kartar air vents range

We hold the Kartar agency directly. The Kartar air vent range runs to 4 families, 15 mm to 200 mm, in 1 body material.

The float material is what an air vent range is really selecting for — a wooden float coated against the medium suits most water duties, and the coating (EPDM, ebonite) is chosen for what the line actually carries, not swapped in for cosmetic reasons.

The Kartar range here is supplied in cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty. Material is decided by the medium and the temperature before it is decided by price: a body that suits cold water will not necessarily suit the same line carrying steam.

Bores available are 15–25 mm, 40–50 mm, 80–100 mm and 150–200 mm. Above roughly 50 mm the pattern shifts to flanged cast bodies, and flange drilling, weight and lifting become part of the order rather than an afterthought.

You can have Flanged and Screwed BSP (parallel) ends on this range. Matching the connection to what is already installed is the difference between a valve that is fitted in an afternoon and one that waits for a fabricator.

Works test certificates and material certificates can be supplied with the consignment where the standard calls for them, but they have to be asked for at the time of order rather than afterwards.

To quote air vents properly we need the medium, the working pressure and the temperature in addition to sizes and quantities. Everything else on the enquiry can be inferred; that cannot.
