About the Honeywell control valves range

We hold the Honeywell agency directly. The Honeywell control valve range runs to 41 families, 15 mm to 150 mm, in 3 body materials.

The range is selected on duty first and size second. Medium, working pressure and temperature between them decide the material and the class; the bore only decides which line it fits.

The Honeywell range here is supplied in CF8 stainless where the medium attacks a copper alloy, forged brass on small-bore service lines and ductile iron to IS 1865 where the line sees shock, vibration or a buried, long-service duty. Getting the material right is the part of the specification that cannot be corrected on site. The medium and the working temperature settle it; the size does not enter into it.

Bores available are 15–25 mm, 32–50 mm, 65–100 mm and 125–150 mm. Above roughly 50 mm the pattern shifts to flanged cast bodies, and flange drilling, weight and lifting become part of the order rather than an afterthought.

The range is supplied with Screwed BSP (parallel), Flanged and Screwed BSPT (taper) ends. Which one is right is a question about the line, not about the valve, and it is the detail most often left off an enquiry.

Where an inspection certificate or an IBR form is required, say so with the enquiry — it is arranged with the manufacturer at order stage and cannot be added to a valve already despatched.

When you send an enquiry for control valves, include the medium, the working pressure and the temperature alongside the sizes and quantities. It is the detail that most often has to be chased before a quotation can be priced, and supplying it up front saves a round trip.
