L&T’s butterfly Valve, CI Body/CF8M Disc, EPDM Liner, Lever Operated, PN-10 is supplied in 50 mm to 250 mm at PN 10. Butterfly valves become the economical choice as bore increases: the disc rotates within the body rather than lifting clear of it, so the valve stays short and light where a gate valve would be neither. Lever operated, so the position is readable from across a plant room. CF8M (SS 316) carries molybdenum, giving markedly better resistance to chlorides and pitting than SS 304 — why it is specified for coastal, effluent and chemical service.
