Covering 40 mm to 300 mm at PN 10, this is Sant’s C.I. Butterfly Valve (Lever Operated). The disc stays in the flow path when open, which costs a little pressure drop but keeps the valve short, light and cheap to support. Lever operated, so the position is readable from across a plant room. Grey cast iron to IS 210 keeps the cost sensible in the larger sizes, provided the duty is steady rather than shock-loaded. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
