Sant C.I. Butterfly Valve Wafer Type (Gear Operated), available 200 mm to 400 mm at PN 16. A quarter turn moves the disc through the full stroke, so large-bore lines can be operated quickly without a gearbox in the smaller sizes. Gear operation keeps the effort manageable at the larger bores, where a lever would need more force than one person can apply. The IS 210 cast iron body is the economical choice at larger bores. It suits steady water service but not lines that see mechanical shock. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
