Description
L&T’s butterfly Valve, CI Body/CF8 Disc, EPDM Liner, Gear Operated, PN-16 is supplied in 50 mm to 600 mm at PN 16. Butterfly valves become the economical choice as bore increases: the disc rotates within the body rather than lifting clear of it, so the valve stays short and light where a gate valve would be neither. Gear operation keeps the effort manageable at the larger bores, where a lever would need more force than one person can apply. CF8 (SS 304) suits mildly corrosive and hygienic duties where iron contamination of the product cannot be accepted. A wafer body adds almost nothing to the length of the pipe run.
