Leader’s globe Valve (Bolted Bonnet, O/S & Yoke Type, Rising Stem) is supplied in 15 mm to 50 mm at Class 800. Globe valves are built for regulation: flow turns across a disc seated parallel to the line, giving fine control at the cost of a higher pressure drop than a gate valve. The rising stem shows the valve’s position at a glance, which is worth having on a valve that is operated rarely and needs to be verified shut — allow headroom above it. Forged A105 gives a dense, void-free body — why forged construction is specified for small-bore high-pressure duty. Socket-welded ends suit small-bore high-pressure lines where a threaded joint would be a weak point.
