Description
Leader globe Valve (Bolted Bonnet, O/S & Yoke Type, Rising Stem), available 15 mm to 50 mm at Class 600. A regulating valve. The disc approaches the seat square-on, which is why it tolerates throttling that would wreck a wedge. A rising stem gives visual confirmation of position without touching the handwheel, at the cost of clearance above the valve. Forged A105 gives a dense, void-free body — why forged construction is specified for small-bore high-pressure duty.
