Description
Leader’s gate Valve (Bolted Bonnet, O/S & Yoke Type, Rising Stem) is supplied in 50 mm to 300 mm at Class 1500. Gate valves isolate rather than regulate: the wedge lifts clear of the bore, so an open valve costs almost no pressure drop. The rising stem shows the valve’s position at a glance, which is worth having on a valve that is operated rarely and needs to be verified shut — allow headroom above it. A cast carbon steel body to ASTM A216 WCB handles the temperatures and pressures of steam and hot oil, where bronze or iron would not be rated. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
