Description
This D.I. Resilient Seated Gate/Sluice Valve from Sant covers 50 mm to 300 mm at PN 16. Intended for full-open or full-shut duty. Holding a wedge part-open to throttle will chatter and wear the seat faces. An SG iron body to IS 1865 tolerates ground movement and pressure surge in ways grey cast iron does not. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
