About the Zoloto steam traps range
This is the full Zoloto steam trap range we are authorised to supply — 3 families, 15 mm to 50 mm, across 3 body materials.
A steam trap is chosen by the condensate load and the back pressure it discharges against. The trap type follows from the duty — the wrong type does not fail visibly, it simply passes steam or waterlogs the equipment it was fitted to protect.
The Zoloto range here is supplied in cast iron to IS 210 for larger bores on water duty, gunmetal to IS 318 LTB-2 for potable and general water service and CF8 stainless where the medium attacks a copper alloy. The medium chooses the material. Cost only breaks a tie between two bodies that both suit the duty, and a body that fails on temperature is not cheaper for having cost less.
Sizes span 15–25 mm and 32–50 mm. Across that range the construction changes more than once, so a size at the top of the range and one at the bottom are related products rather than the same product in two sizes.
Works test certificates and material certificates can be supplied with the consignment where the standard calls for them, but they have to be asked for at the time of order rather than afterwards.
An enquiry for steam traps is quickest to price when it states the condensate load and the back pressure discharged against as well as the sizes and quantities. Without it we have to come back and ask, which adds a day to the quotation for no reason.
