About the Castle ball valves range

Every Castle ball valve we supply is listed on this page: 5 families spanning 8 mm to 100 mm, in 1 body material.

Not every ball valve in a range carries the same certification mark, even at an identical bore and body split — an ISI-marked valve costs more than an unmarked one built to the same drawing, and only one of the two satisfies a specification that names the standard explicitly.

The Castle range here is supplied in forged brass on small-bore service lines. What the line carries, and how hot it runs, decide the body. Those two facts narrow the choice before bore, class or budget are considered at all.

Bores available are 8–25 mm, 32–50 mm and 65–100 mm. Above roughly 50 mm the pattern shifts to flanged cast bodies, and flange drilling, weight and lifting become part of the order rather than an afterthought.

Ends available are Screwed BSP (parallel) and Union end. This is worth confirming against the pipework drawing rather than assumed: changing a valve's end connection after delivery means changing the pipework.

Where an inspection certificate or an IBR form is required, say so with the enquiry — it is arranged with the manufacturer at order stage and cannot be added to a valve already despatched.

An enquiry for ball valves is quickest to price when it states whether the duty needs a full bore or tolerates a reduced one as well as the sizes and quantities. Without it we have to come back and ask, which adds a day to the quotation for no reason.
