Covering 15 mm to 50 mm, this is DRP’s marine Globe Valve, Flanged (JIS 5K, F-7301). Where flow is throttled rather than simply stopped, a globe pattern is correct. The disc takes the wear that throttling causes. Gunmetal to IS 318 Grade LTB-2 holds up in continuous water service without the dezincification that shortens brass fittings. Flanged connections allow the valve to come out for overhaul with the pipework left in place. Usual duties are bypass lines, feed regulation and any point where flow has to be set and held.
