Sant bronze Parallel Slide Blow off Valve, available 25 mm to 80 mm. A regulating valve. The disc approaches the seat square-on, which is why it tolerates throttling that would wreck a wedge. The bronze body gives good corrosion resistance in water service and holds its seating faces over repeated operation. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
