Description

Honeywell’s motorized Butterfly Valve (SS Disc) is supplied in 50 mm to 600 mm at PN 25. Butterfly valves become the economical choice as bore increases: the disc rotates within the body rather than lifting clear of it, so the valve stays short and light where a gate valve would be neither. Ductile iron carries considerably more strength and impact resistance than grey cast iron for the same section — the reason it is specified for buried and higher-pressure mains. The wafer body clamps between two pipe flanges, keeping face-to-face length and weight to a minimum.
