Covering 50 mm to 300 mm, this is Veeson’s cast Iron Sluice Valve, Non-Rising S.S. Spindle (PN-16). The standard isolation valve on larger water lines. The wedge seats between two body faces, giving tight shut-off on clean and lightly contaminated water at pipeline pressures. With the stem inside the bonnet, the valve occupies the same height open or shut — useful where clearance above the line is limited. Grey cast iron to IS 210 keeps the cost sensible in the larger sizes, provided the duty is steady rather than shock-loaded.
