Sant brass Pressure Reducing Valve, available 15 mm to 100 mm. Pressure reducing valves hold a set downstream pressure regardless of what the upstream line is doing, protecting equipment rated below main pressure and steadying supply to a distribution system. Forged brass keeps cost and weight down at small bores, where a cast body’s strength is not required. Common where a mains or boiler pressure has to be stepped down for distribution.
