Covering 25 mm to 150 mm, this is Sant’s cast Steel Piston Valves. Steam isolation using a piston working within replaceable seal rings. The arrangement tolerates the thermal cycling that erodes conventional seat faces, and maintenance means changing rings rather than lapping seats. WCB carbon steel construction, rated for the steam and thermal-oil duties that rule out lighter body materials. Flanged connections allow the valve to come out for overhaul with the pipework left in place. Used on steam mains and branch isolation where seat erosion is the usual failure mode.
