Description
This fusible Plug (Forged Carbon Steel, One Piece Design, High Temperature) from Leader covers 15 mm. Protects a boiler against low water level by melting at a defined temperature and venting steam. The alloy core is a consumable and is replaced rather than repaired. Forged A105 gives a dense, void-free body — why forged construction is specified for small-bore high-pressure duty. Taper BSPT threads seal on the thread itself, which suits duties where a parallel thread and washer would be awkward. Fitted to the crown or furnace plate of a steam boiler as a low-water safeguard.
