Description
Covering 200 mm to 600 mm at PN 20, this is Castle’s SG Iron Butterfly Valve (CF-8/SS-304 Disc, Gear Operated, PN 20). The disc stays in the flow path when open, which costs a little pressure drop but keeps the valve short, light and cheap to support. Gear operation keeps the effort manageable at the larger bores, where a lever would need more force than one person can apply. An SG iron body to IS 1865 tolerates ground movement and pressure surge in ways grey cast iron does not. A wafer body adds almost nothing to the length of the pipe run.
