Audco’s cast Iron Butterfly Valve (CF8M (SS 316) Disc, Nitrile Liner, Gear operated, PN 16) is supplied in 50 mm to 600 mm at PN 16. Butterfly valves become the economical choice as bore increases: the disc rotates within the body rather than lifting clear of it, so the valve stays short and light where a gate valve would be neither. Gear operation keeps the effort manageable at the larger bores, where a lever would need more force than one person can apply. The IS 210 cast iron body is the economical choice at larger bores.
