Description
Audco SG Iron Butterfly Valve (CF8 (SS 304) Disc, EPDM Liner, Gear operated, PN 20), available 50 mm to 600 mm at PN 20. A quarter turn moves the disc through the full stroke, so large-bore lines can be operated quickly without a gearbox in the smaller sizes. Gear operation keeps the effort manageable at the larger bores, where a lever would need more force than one person can apply. Ductile iron carries considerably more strength and impact resistance than grey cast iron for the same section — the reason it is specified for buried and higher-pressure mains.
