Leader’s gate Valve, SS Trim, Without ISI Mark, IS 14846 (O/S & Yoke, Rising Stem) is supplied in 50 mm to 600 mm at PN 16. Gate valves isolate rather than regulate: the wedge lifts clear of the bore, so an open valve costs almost no pressure drop. A rising stem gives visual confirmation of position without touching the handwheel, at the cost of clearance above the valve. The IS 210 cast iron body is the economical choice at larger bores. It suits steady water service but not lines that see mechanical shock. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
