Covering 15 mm to 25 mm, this is Leader’s fusible Plug (Brass, One Piece Design). Protects a boiler against low water level by melting at a defined temperature and venting steam. The alloy core is a consumable and is replaced rather than repaired. A forged brass body to IS 319 — dense, compact and economical in the smaller sizes. Taper BSPT threads seal on the thread itself, which suits duties where a parallel thread and washer would be awkward. Fitted to the crown or furnace plate of a steam boiler as a low-water safeguard.
