Covering 15 mm to 50 mm at 16 kg/cm², this is Castle’s forged Brass Y-Type Strainer, Screwed (PN 16). Fitted upstream of pumps, meters and control valves to catch debris that would otherwise damage them. The removable screen means the strainer can be serviced in place; the mesh should be chosen for the medium rather than by default. A forged brass body to IS 319 — dense, compact and economical in the smaller sizes. Screwed BSP ends keep installation simple at small bores and allow a valve to be changed with two wrenches.
