Sant cast Steel Moisture Separator, available 25 mm to 100 mm. Separators remove entrained water from steam before it reaches the plant. Wet steam erodes valve seats and turbine blading and cuts the heat available at the point of use. A cast carbon steel body to ASTM A216 WCB handles the temperatures and pressures of steam and hot oil, where bronze or iron would not be rated. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
