Description

L&T’s ball Valve, 2-Piece, Reduced Bore, SS (CF8M), Flanged Class 300, Fire Safe is supplied in 15 mm to 150 mm at Class 300. A quarter turn takes a ball valve from shut to fully open, which makes it the practical choice wherever a line is operated often. The bore through the ball gives tight shut-off and low resistance when open. CF8M (SS 316) carries molybdenum, giving markedly better resistance to chlorides and pitting than SS 304 — why it is specified for coastal, effluent and chemical service. Flanged ends make the valve straightforward to remove for servicing without cutting pipe, and are the norm once bore and weight rule out threaded joints.
