Description

This gate Valve (Screwed in Bonnet, Inside screw, Rising Stem, Class -2) from Leader covers 15 mm to 100 mm. Intended for full-open or full-shut duty. Holding a wedge part-open to throttle will chatter and wear the seat faces. The non-rising stem keeps the overall height fixed, which matters in a congested pipe rack or a valve pit where there is no room for a stem to travel. The LTB-2 gunmetal body to IS 318 resists dezincification, which is why gunmetal remains the default for potable water rather than a cheaper brass.
