Honeywell manual Balancing Valve, Handwheel Operated, available 50 mm to 125 mm at PN 25. Balancing valves set the design flow through each branch of a distribution circuit. Without them, the branches nearest the pump take more than their share and the far ends of the system never reach temperature. Ductile iron carries considerably more strength and impact resistance than grey cast iron for the same section — the reason it is specified for buried and higher-pressure mains.
