Advance wafer Type Dual Plate Check Valve, available 50 mm to 600 mm at PN 16. Check valves stop reverse flow without any external operation — line pressure alone opens and closes them. On a pump discharge they prevent backspin and the water hammer that follows an abrupt stop. The IS 210 cast iron body is the economical choice at larger bores. It suits steady water service but not lines that see mechanical shock. The wafer body clamps between two pipe flanges, keeping face-to-face length and weight to a minimum.
