Description
Covering 200 mm to 600 mm at PN 16, this is Advance’s wafer Type Butterfly Valve (Nylon Coated SGI Disc, Gear Operated). The disc stays in the flow path when open, which costs a little pressure drop but keeps the valve short, light and cheap to support. Gear operation keeps the effort manageable at the larger bores, where a lever would need more force than one person can apply. Grey cast iron to IS 210 keeps the cost sensible in the larger sizes, provided the duty is steady rather than shock-loaded. A wafer body adds almost nothing to the length of the pipe run.
