Castle forged Brass Balancing Valve, Screwed (20 Kg./Sq.cm), available 15 mm to 65 mm at 20 kg/cm². Balancing valves set the design flow through each branch of a distribution circuit. Without them, the branches nearest the pump take more than their share and the far ends of the system never reach temperature. Forged brass keeps cost and weight down at small bores, where a cast body’s strength is not required. Screwed BSP ends keep installation simple at small bores and allow a valve to be changed with two wrenches. The table above gives the price for each size in the range.
